What's new in BlackBerry OS 6.0

The changes include the faster, much enhanced web browser, an updated user interface with several of the standard applications redesigned, a tool that allows users to search everything at once (even inside applications), and a built-in YouTube app.

Installing the Upgrade
Verizon is giving its customers with the Bold 9650 or Curve 3G a choice in how to upgrade their smartphone.

They can connect their phone to their PC and go to blackberry.com/updates. Alternatively, customers can download the new version of this operating system Over the Air (OTA) directly to their device by going to Options > Advance Options > Wireless Update.

Users of the Bold 9650 can get more information about the update and step-by-step instructions on how to download at verizonwireless.com/boldsupport, while those with a Curve 3G can get the same info at verizonwireless.com/curve9330support.

amanda.lee@blackberry.co.za is not offering a free BlackBerry - A variation on this hoax email analysed at Hoax-Slayer indicates that someone has a grudge against Research in Motion (who make the BlackBerry range of smartphones) in South Africa.

There’s a watermarked image stolen from Mobile Gazette to go with it (who are nothing to do with the hoax).. now with a blurry couple of photos from people claiming that they have their free BlackBerry.

This is just a hoax.. nobody is going to send you a €400 smartphone (about 3800 rand) for forwarding a few emails. It probably just exists to harass the company or whoever “Amanda
